Hello, I’m Erika. I’m the woman behind the lens at Moonlight Studio. Photographer. Storyteller. Mother. Dreamer. Healer through light.

I was born in Peru and have called Long Island home for over twenty years. My relationship with photography began in 2006 when I became a mother. Photographing my daughter’s childhood shifted the way I saw presence, memory, and the quiet power of being witnessed. What began as a love for family portraits gradually evolved into something more intentional.

In recent years, I felt drawn toward boudoir photography—not as a trend, but as a way of honoring the body and the stories we carry within it. This work is about reconnection and remembrance. About creating space to soften and return to yourself.

In 2021, a profound personal shift changed the way I relate to the body, to photography, and to presence itself. That clarity became the foundation of Moonlight Studio—a space designed to feel safe, supportive, and unhurried, where beauty doesn’t need to be performed.

I believe every body carries power, every story deserves respect, and nothing about you needs fixing. My work is simply about reflecting what’s already there and helping you see it more clearly.
